Margaret Hamilton!

Margaret Hamilton was the original actress cast to play Marie Thornwell in this episode. She had to drop out last-minute due to health issues. So last minute, in fact, that advertisements had already been created and ran in TV Guide and other publications with her image. (Thanks to Andrew W on the Facts Of Life Fans FB Page for posting this! I remember seeing this in TV Guide!)

The Oldest Living Graduate!

It turns out “The Oldest Living Graduate” is a play, and the TV movie I mentioned on this episode was an NBC live broadcast of a stage production. (Think “Little Mermaid Live” but without the music, joy, or appeal.) Henry Fonda starred along with … future “Facts Of Life” star Cloris Leachman! Who knew!?
